National Biomechanics Day Event Report #3 - Avery Kratzer

Avery Kratzer hosted a a National Biomechanics Day event at BU Sargent College of Health and Rehab Sciences for 8th grade students. A highlight of their day was performing TikTok dances in the markerless motion capture system. They wanted to spark curiosity about science and biomechanics and hopefully encourage the students to engage more with the scientific process.

Kylee Henson hosted on a hands-on National Biomechanics Day event at Lakehead University. With a focus on the scientific process, students were able to collect their own data, work on interpreting their findings, and present it to their classmates!

Asal Aflatounian and Alexandra Lynch put on an awesome National Biomechanics Day event for high school students at Montana State University. A crowd favorite station was the VR headset - made possible by the Women in Biomechanics Outreach Grant for National Biomechanics Day events. They're hoping to expand their program virtually in the future to increase access for students all over Montana!
