Monthly Meeting - November 2024 - Integrating AI into the Classroom

Tuesday, 5th November at 4pm EST (4pm New York, 9pm London, 8am Sydney) 

This presentation is designed for anyone interested in integrating AI into their teaching practice to enhance student learning outcomes and streamline course management. The various roles AI can play in the classroom—from tutoring to writing assistance— will be explored. Participants will be provided actionable strategies for selecting AI tools, designing AI-enhanced assignments, and creating clear syllabus statements. Join us to discover how AI can become a valuable tool for your classroom.

Dr. Juanita (JJ) Wallace is an Associate Professor of Health and Exercise Science and Director of the Digital Liberal Arts Initiative at Transylvania University in Lexington, KY. Previously she worked in clinical biomechanics and motion analysis/foot pressure at Shriners Hospitals for Children in Lexington, KY. After this work, she moved into a teaching role where her work has focused on the liberal arts and pedagogical practices using engaged learning strategies and integrating technologies like Extended Realities (VR/AR/MR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the classroom.
