Nikita Sharma is a PhD student at Heidelberg University, Germany in the Optimization, Robotics and Biomechanics group. In her PhD she is working on biomechanical assessments of balance recovery in older adults using wearable technology. Her aim is to contribute towards a future of individualized perturbation-based balance training to prevent falls in elderly. Due to her academic endeavours, Nikita had the opportunity to live and explore Windsor (Ontario, Canada), Paris (France), Groningen (The Netherlands), Heidelberg (Germany) but she is from New Delhi, India. Nikita is an animal and nature lover and in her free time she likes to Exercise, play piano, cook, travel and dance. Also, she is fluent in Hindi and English and has a little knowledge of French and Dutch and is currently getting a hang of German. For Nikita, creating an inclusive and diverse working environment is important and she is supporting that by working for IWB.
